‘A Totally Different Experience’: Long Beach Musicians Speak On How The Pandemic Has Changed How They Work

The year spent in the quarantine has forced a lot of musicians to change the way they work. For Long Beach musician King Gandara, the changes have been mostly positive. “A lot of people were quarantined sitting at home, looking for something new to come out, that’s the perfect opportunity for [musicians] to get our name out there with music videos, promotions, merchandise, anything like that. I dropped an album in August and that did well in terms of numbers while everyone was sitting at home.” However, not all musicians share this feeling. Singer-songwriter Angela Jane Bachmann and DJ Angel Aura are less than thrilled by the ongoing lockdown. To read more about how musicians are handling the pandemic, visit VoiceWaves.
