‘I Am Their Voice’: First-Time Voters To Uplift Their Voices With Their Ballots

The country is gearing up for what is sure to be an eventful November, and young people are ready to make their voices heard. South Kern Sol asked a number of first-time voters about their motivations for turning up at the polls. ”I have always been passionate about the things that impact my community, as I come from a mixed-status family where my parents are undocumented, and I am their voice” said Biviana Camacho, an incoming Bakersfeild college freshman.
