Voters Approve Tax Aimed at Helping Kids

After tireless work by campaigners, especially teenagers who canvassed door-to-door, Richmond voters approved an increased real estate transfer tax whose funds will go to supporting the local government’s youth programs. “For the first time in the city’s history, Richmond youth are set to have a local government department dedicated to serving them.” Read more at Richmond Pulse.
