Clean Slate Day Offers a Chance at a Fresh Start

For many people with any sort of criminal record, an infraction like a DUI or failure to pay child support can result in mountainous barriers that limit their abilities to find jobs, support their families, and live full lives. Contra Costa County’s Clean Slate Program is trying to help these individuals move on from their past mistakes. “People often gather at Richmond’s Memorial Auditorium for concerts, graduations and school dances.
