Independent Review Unit for Police-Involved Shootings Proposed by Lawmakers

Since the recent shooting of Stephon Clark in Sacramento in March, a revived wave of activists have pushed for legislation that reigns in police action and use of force. And on May 24, those activists won a huge victory after assembly members proposed a bill that would make officer-involved shootings subject to independent review. “The public has to become outraged with the people they elect that won’t fight for what is right.” Read more at Access Local TV.
