Sisters in Solidarity Showcases Female Empowerment

Aiming to unite and rally women around International Women’s Day, Richmond has held the Sisters in Solidarity event every year for more than a decade. This year, local figures such as the Contra Costa District Attorney and a Richmond City Councilmember spoke at the celebration. “Long oppressed by an exceptionalistic male society, educated women now stand at the forefront of social change, working to empower females in the United States and around the world.” Read more at Richmond Pulse.
