The view of Charlottesville from Richmond, Calif.

The ugly, blatant racism fueling the groups that took to the streets of Charlottesville, N.C. was not a surprise to young people observing from afar in Richmond, Calif. But the brash display of hate and deadly violence should serve as a wake-up call for all. “Easing racial tensions in the United States is a very tall order, and recognizing America’s history of unchecked racial terrorism is a necessary step.” Read more at Richmond Pulse.
