Growing up in Pleasant Hill, where the local middle school, high school and college are next door, and Marie Sosa never doubted she’d advance from one level to the next. Currently a community college student, Sosa’s confidence in her ability to continue with her education plan has been shaken by the Trump administration’s proposed cuts to education spending. “I look at my parents who never went to college and how they live paycheck to paycheck.
