Long Beach "People's State of the City"

A community-organized gathering to discuss Long Beach's most pressing issues, the "People’s State of the City" brought together a diverse group of residents pushing city leaders to think about housing, discrimination and other matters important for the city to thrive. Youth reporters with VoiceWaves produced a video about the event, held in April, asking: How has the city and its residents upheld resolutions made that day to seek change? "We all have the opportunity to change the course of our history." Watch the video at Voice Waves.
