Self care: the most radical form of resistance

A young man from Fresno reflects on the widespread exhaustion felt by people troubled by the relentlessness of national politics and the Donald Trump presidency. But, he reflects, the worst outcome would be for people to give up pushing for what they feel is best for their communities. He reflects on a line attributed to poet and activist Audre Lorde, who said: “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” Read more at The kNOw.
