Sacramento district declares schools safe havens

Students, parents and teachers spoke about the pervasive fear President Donald Trump’s promise to increase deportations has spread through the community. The Sacramento City Unified School District responded to those fears by declaring its campuses safe havens for undocumented students. “The worst case scenario would be children afraid of showing up to school because of fear of deportation.” Read more at Access Local.
