Teen ‘candidate’ for mayor seeks more city funds for youth development

High school senior Jacky Vargas is running for mayor of California's largest metropolis, the City of Angels. She's not on the official ballot, but she announced her mock candidacy at a recent public event in the Boyle Heights district of Los Angeles to urge city leaders to spend more money on youth. “How do they have [almost] half of the pie going towards police and not having much of the budget going towards youth or programs for youth."
