Income, language barriers and stigma keep some Latino youth from seeking mental health help

A Boyle Heights high school student reflects on what he's learned, one year after he spent a week in a mental health hospital. Communities are becoming more aware of the prevalence of depression among teens, and people are recognizing the added challenges for Latino youth. “Sometime I feel trapped by my depression, or I feel a numbness, and I’m scared I’m going to completely let that be a normal thing.
