A look at three of Coachella’s oldest businesses

Virgil Lopes opened up Lopes Plumbing and Hardware in 1948, just two years after Coachella became an incorporated city in the Colorado River basin. Amanda Flores, 15, interviewed three of the oldest businesses in her city. “I happened to be here at the right place at right time.” Read the story at Coachella Unincorporated.
