Giving Boyle Heights musicians a place to play in east Los Angeles

For decades, musicians playing the accordion-centered music of northern Mexico have gathered on a corner in Boyle Heights in east Los Angeles to showcase their skills and get hired for gigs. Young residents of Boyle Heights built benches and decorations to give these local artists a more beautiful place to play. “I like to help the community look better.” Read the story at Boyle Heights Beat.
