I occupied the freeway last night

An undocumented 24-year-old joined the throng during protests over the election of Donald Trump to the presidency that took over the streets of Los Angeles. The writer, who immigrated from Mexico with his family at age seven, said he feels a mix of pain as well as optimism that the United States will get through this difficult time. “As an undocumented immigrant who has paid a lot of taxes to this country, I feel ripped off by the presidential election’s outcome.” Read more at VoiceWaves.
