#SchoolsNotPrisons Tour: An Interview with Kimya Dawson

The Know reporter Miguel Bibanco traveled to Los Angeles to interview musician Kimya Dawson while she toured with the #SchoolsNotPrisons project, an arts tour focused on communities disproportionately impacted by incarceration. Dawson talked about her passion for the project and how her parents, who ran a home daycare, took a “We’ll take the kids that no one else will take” approach.
