School systems are failing students of color

How good is a school system that rewards students for perfect attendance and but gives little support for the young people who struggle each day to get to school and still try to learn. Young Fresnan Aqeela Starks looks back on her years in school and the ways the educational system failed to foster learning among students of color. “No matter how hard I or others of a darker pigmentation try, we’ll still come in last place.” Read more at The Know.
