Closing libraries won’t make us safer

Kern County District Attorney Lisa Green recently told Kern County officials she believes putting more deputies on the street is more important than keeping library doors open. Cal State Bakersfield student Randy Villegas believes that view is dead wrong. “If you really want to prioritize public safety, you need to attack the real threat: lack of education and lack of opportunity.” Read more at South Kern Sol.
