Chicano car cruising: A modern twist on an Eastside legacy

Car cruising culture still thrives in East Los Angeles and Boyle Heights, long after the iconic Chicano  lowrider days of the 1970s. Car clubs still gather all over Los Angeles. Many arrange last-minute cruises through social media, and stay on the road until police send them home. “Car culture is universal, but the way Chicanos show their love for their rides is very unique.” Read the story at Boyle Heights Beat.
