Kern County youth weigh in on school district’s decision to allow guns on campus

Students didn’t have a say when Kern High School District board of trustees voted in June to allow people with approved concealed weapons permits to bring guns to campus. In a series of interviews, students from several campuses share their views on the new policy. “I feel insecure because anyone could take advantage of the permit and it doesn’t seem like it would be too hard to get one.” Read more at South Kern Sol.
