In Santa Ana, Promotores lead the way in community health

Health outreach workers are making a difference among Latino residents of Santa Ana. Called Promotores, they give advice, push people to seek care and provide crucial support for people with health concerns. “I was approached by a community worker . . . and was surprised to find that I had a weight of 255 lbs, a glucose level of 550, cholesterol level of 350.” Read the story at VoiceWaves.
