The pressure to stay in STEM classes

Ajani Torres-Cedillo felt pressure to stay in a calculus class because she is female and Latina. Each year she’s realized there were fewer students who looked like her in advanced classes. “The goal is to get more girls and people of color into STEM courses–and here I am, dropping out.” Read the story at Youth Radio.
