Food Literacy Center hosts outdoor cooking class

Sacramento youth got their hands dirty in an outdoor kitchen at the Oak Park Sol community garden on a Saturday in July while learning about heathy eating. Food literacy was the goal, and volunteers had youth mixing, stirring and assembling a health meal as part of the program, which is funded by the Junior League of Sacramento. "They have a new recipe to go home with and share with their family." Watch the video at AccessLocal.TV.Access Local
