An open letter to Larissa Martinez: undocumented valedictorian

Texas high school valedictorian Larissa Martinez revealed during her graduate speech that she is an undocumented immigrant. Her words resonated with people across the country. In an open letter to Martinez, youth reporter Miguel Bibanco writes that, undocumented and afraid, they will have bright futures. “If you can graduate as your school’s valedictorian while living in a country that radiates hostility at your existence, then I know you can do anything.” Read the commentary at The Know.
