Jonathan Kozol inspires me to continue the fight for equality

Teaching 4th grade in a poor black neighborhood changed Jonathan Kozol's life. Now an author and activist, Kozol travels the country fighting for equal educational opportunities for every child in public schools. Kozol visited Bakersfield, inspiring South Kern Sol writer Randy Villegas to demand equity in education for Kern County students. "I will continue to advocate and say loudly that no matter where someone is born, or what their family’s income is, everyone should have the right to a quality education."
