Gay Republicans try to open doors, minds

A gun carrying Republican delegate from Texas, Colton Buckley believes in low taxes and a limited government. Buckley is 21 and gay, and he believes there is a place for LGBTQ people in the party of Abraham Lincoln. Reporting from the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Youth Radio reporter Desmond Meagley spoke to Buckley and reflected on what he learned from him. "Even if I don’t agree with some of his policy positions, by making a safe space for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Republicans, he’s doing a great service for the future of his party."
