The Richmond Powwow: A native tradition open to all

Youth were central to this year’s Richmond Powwow. Members of native communities from across the region came together in June to honor culture and tradition and also to recognize this year’s event theme: Honoring our youth. Youth joined their elders at the event’s signature dance contest. “The dancers represent more than their culture in their dance, they also represent their community.” Read a dispatch from the event at Richmond Pulse.
