Rural California students advocate for better LGBTQ services

Students in the Eastern Coachella Valley are speaking out to ask the area’s schools to provide better mental health services and safe spaces for LGBTQ youth. Studies show LGBTQ students are more likely than their peers to suffer from depression and anxiety. “That’s the vision, to start uplifting the voices of people who are marginalized.” Read the story at Coachella Unincorporated.
