Proud and frustrated: my first time as an election volunteer

Lola White volunteered as an election worker during the California primaries, and had to work through the chaos that was widely reported throughout Los Angeles polling places on that day. Now she has a few ideas for the state's election agency to make things work better. "Trainers should give volunteers at least one extra training day where we get to play out what will happen when we are at the polls. Having some real-life experience will help when we have to assist confused or angry voters.... [But] come November, California has another chance to get it right." She wrote about her experience for Voicewaves.vote
