Advocates continue to push school district towards restorative justice

Under the Local Control Funding Formula, a school district is required to incorporate community input when formulating a budget with money it receives from the state. But local advocates are saying Coachella Valley's school officials aren't being transparent when it comes to how they're spending money for 2015 and 2016; moreover, advocates say restorative justice is not being fairly considered. "Parents think meeting the emotional needs of students is just as important as increasing academic standards.
