Youth Media for Building Healthy Communities

Community Health, Youth Voices

Mi vida, mi vota

With more than a million Latinos in San Diego County — and more than half of eligible Latino voters still not registered — advocates are making a push to convince people that their votes could make a difference. “People think that politics don’t influence their lives, but politics influence all of us… I think it’s very important to elect people who represent our communities.” Students from San Marcos High School produced this public service video to advocate the importance of voting and civic engagement in Latino and Spanish-speaking communities, and with help from Media Arts Center San Diego.
