Fresno City Youth Commission will bring fresh ideas

Recently, the Fresno City Council approved funding for the Fresno Youth Commission, a program that trains teens and young adults to take an active role in the decision-making process for issues affecting the city. Fresno’s Boys and Men of Color led the advocacy efforts to bring youth representation to the council — “youth advocating for youth.” “I felt there should be something that teaches young people how the government works and how to work with their city’s elected officials.” More on the new Youth Commission, with photos, from The Know.
