Big Picture High School – more than meets the eye

Big Picture High School in Fresno is a different kind of school. Students at Big Picture select their learning pathways based on personal interest. The curriculum focuses on preparing students for college and careers and sets them up with an advisor in their community. The model is catching on with Fresno students. "The best thing about our small work environment … is that we teach students and [larger schools] teach class. Even if they wanted to teach students they wouldn’t be able to since they have a minimum of 200 students a day." Read one student's take on Big Picture for The Know.
