Youth summit focuses on student rights, school funding

Several dozen students from Kern County schools gathered for a youth summit to learn about their rights as students, including how they can harness the state’s new school funding law to hold their own schools accountable for budget decisions. “A lot of students now are being hurt in one way or another and they don’t voice it … But what I learned today is that every student has their voice, and should let their voices be heard.” Read more on South Kern Sol.
