Coping with depression after being bullied

Britney Michelle Perkins dealt with bullying about her looks and weight from the second grade on, and the accumulation of hurt feelings led to a long-term depression problem. She recalls how the bullying dictated her emotional and social behavior. “I had been angry for so long that I didn’t know how to be happy again. I’d spent so long hating myself. I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror.” Read a story about Britney on Coachella Unincorporated.
