Feeling safe is my top priority in school this year

Samone Perry is not as concerned with academic stress of her own as she is about her brother; she knows the different pressures and dangers he could face as a freshman in high school. "I didn’t know what GPA was but I quickly learned what a lockdown was... My brother and I both know someone who got shot and killed just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time." Her perspective is on Youth Radio.
