Merced youth react to gun control and Charleston

Merced communities are feeling the aftermath of the Charleston church massacre, and are wearying of the recurring issues — racism, terrorism, gun violence. Some youth are asking the more political question, "Why hasn't the fight for gun control gained traction in the wake of killings like this in recent years?" “Yes, there should be more gun control after this incident in Charleston. This issue about guns has been around for a long time, but only resurfaces when tragedy strikes. It is unbelievable how we act on something after something horrible has happened."  Read more youth voices on gun control, on We'Ced.
