Project aims to transform ‘the hood’ for good

Project G.O.O.D. (Growing Our Own Destiny) is seeking help from youth to use agriculture as a social tool to bring communities together and beautify their neighborhoods. Yisrael Family Farms, which launched the program, says youth who join in will be paid a stipend, but that’s not all. “[Youth] will find value in real work, experience firsthand what it means to be stewards of the earth, reconnect with food, and be a leader in your community.” The report is on Access Sacramento.
