These people's lives will improve thanks to Prop 47

A new state law that lowers certain non-violent felonies to misdemeanors can help change the lives of tens of thousands of Californians – if they apply in time. Two Long Beach residents, who've applied or plan to apply for felony reductions under Prop. 47, share their stories and what they're hoping for with a revised record and a fresh start. "Melissa had been studying to become a registered nurse before she was arrested for selling marijuana and crystal meth in 2010.
