‘Redemption means forgiveness’: Q&A with playwright Paul S. Flores

The stage play Placas focuses on gang members getting their tattoos removed, and becomes a tale of family redemption. “Does our own community have the means to heal?… The play has the opportunity to bring people together who share the common pain, and who could perhaps work together on common solutions.” Playwright Paul S. Flores discusses the play’s issues, the hoped-for impact of his work, and what inspired him to tell these kinds of stories, in an interview on We’Ced.
