Community profile: Mack Road

The Sacramento neighborhood Mack Road has diversity and life, but like many urban communities has its share of problems to overcome. It hosts many businesses, and many vacant lots.  Adjacent to well-tended parks and trails there are signs of underdevelopment and homelessness. To see Mack Road’s contradictions in a nutshell, look closely at Sheldon Park, where signs of progress and cooperation come face-to-face with the consequences of a struggling economy. The park and other Mack Road sites are explored in a video on Access Sacramento.
