'Art is my culture'

Martinae Shannon has been drawing since she was ten years-old, and still finds art to be an escape from daily troubles. She also writes songs and plays musical instruments, forming a culture of art around herself. "When I went through hard times in middle school, with bullying… it was my escape." A video about a talented young artist was produced by Media Arts Center.
