Boyle Heights residents learn how to grow their own food

City non-profits hosted the first parent garden workshop at Roosevelt High, expanding the student food-growing program out to families.  Workshop attendees learned about garden maintenance and composting, as well as the basic foundation of the life of plants.  “Knowing where your food comes from and knowing what you’re growing is really special. The more you grow food, the more you become connected with the earth.”  The story is from Boyle Heights Beat.
