Confessions of a former bully

Only recently has grade school bullying taken a central place in public discussions about youth safety.  There are nationwide campaigns defending the countless young people victimized by bullying -- whether it's in school, in public, or online.  Karla Martinez is embarrassed when she remembers the mean things she did and said to other girls in elementary school.  She regrets her behavior, and tries to elucidate the roots of bullying behavior.  "I know the burning feeling inside when things don’t go your way, how you bottle up your anger until you explode and take it out on innocent people you see as weak."  Read her story on Coachella Unincorporated.karla
