How I came to know my history

Although Black history in America is marked with the brutality and inhumanity of slavery, there’s also a tenacity — the will, passion, and ability to dream.  Stories and African proverbs guide us to show resilience and pride, and characterize faith is.  A youth commentator writes about her maverick ancestors, on Richmond Pulse.
